The First Game Pass Games of 2026 Show Xbox Is Still Fighting.

Everywhere you go, commentators persist in tolling the death bells for the green team. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a platform few have heard of. Platform-specific outlets began covering about PlayStation as a new development. Last year proved to be a period of total upheaval for the Xbox ecosystem. But if we're going solely off the titles headed to the service in 2026, it becomes clear that Microsoft still intends to draw people in with quality releases on its flagship service.

The Current Inclusions

A pair of titles you can play right now as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's truly noteworthy.

Major Titles on the Horizon

Come mid-January, Game Pass will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that breaks up conventional open-world tropes with a space-faring criminal escapade. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "an ideal blend of terror and combat."

Noteworthy Smaller Games

However, the more modest titles arriving shortly on the service are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite offering thrilling gameplay, arrives January 7th — and you should try it even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.

The game set in a ruined Britain from last year could captivate you remarkably quickly.

Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by the developers behind Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.

A Well-Rounded Collection

In summary, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, and they don't represent first-party juggernauts that validate the subscription alone. Yet, this selection are very dependable. It offers a healthy blend of older titles you may have skipped and fairly new titles that failed to receive the spotlight they warranted upon launch — which makes them ideal prospects to find a new audience on Game Pass.

Be prepared to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
